A report published by KPMG and The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has revealed that the number of permanent placements declined for the first time in six months in June.
IT & Computing and Engineering/Construction recruitment agencies are placing the most permanent candidates, whilst nursing and medical staffing agencies saw the strongest demand growth for candidates.
Recruitment agencies indicated higher levels of both temporary and permanent availability of staff throughout June. There was also stability in the average salary paid to people placed in jobs.
