Staffing experience behind your funding

Founded by people who know
the payroll gap.

Richard Prime and Damon Chapple founded Sonovate in the UK in 2011 after working in staffing and recruiting. They understood the challenge: workers need to be paid before clients settle their invoices.

Today, Sonovate combines invoice funding with technology and collections support. Our US offering starts with eligible professional staffing firms in Texas.

Before you choose a factoring provider

Clear answers to the
questions that affect your cash.

Advance rates, fees, protection, timing and what changes for your clients.

What does Sonovate do?
Sonovate is an invoice factoring provider for professional staffing firms. We buy eligible client invoices and pay an agreed amount upfront. You can use the cash for payroll and operating costs while we collect payment from your clients. Our initial US offering is for eligible firms in Texas.
How much of an invoice can I receive upfront?
Up to 100%, subject to underwriting and agreed fees. Your offer confirms the advance rate and approved limits for your firm and clients. Any remaining balance is released when your client pays, less applicable fees.
What does non-recourse mean?
Sonovate takes the risk of client nonpayment covered by your agreement. It does not cover every reason an invoice may go unpaid. The agreement sets out the protection, exclusions and your responsibilities. Any specific recourse terms required by underwriting are explained before you sign.
What will factoring cost my business?
Your written offer sets out the fees before you sign. Review it alongside your advance rate and contract terms so you can understand what you will receive and what you will pay.
How soon can I receive funds?
Our team will confirm the expected setup and funding timelines for your business. Funding depends on approval, completed setup, invoice eligibility and payment processing. We will explain what is needed before you plan around an expected payment date.
Do you run payroll or pay my workers?
You continue to run payroll and pay your workers through your existing process. Sonovate provides cash by purchasing eligible invoices. You decide how to use the available funds, including for payroll.
Will my clients know I am using Sonovate?
Yes. Your clients receive a notice of assignment explaining that the invoices have been sold to Sonovate and providing payment instructions. They pay into an account in your business name, and Sonovate manages collections on the invoices it buys.
Can I switch from my current factoring provider?
Yes, subject to approval and the terms of your current agreement. Our team works with you on the purchase of eligible outstanding invoices and the transfer arrangements with your existing provider. We will explain the steps before you commit.
How long is the agreement?
The standard agreement is 12 months with 3 months’ notice. Smaller arrangements may be available on a rolling 3-month term. Your offer confirms the term and notice requirements that apply to your business.
Which accounting software do I need?
QuickBooks Online. A connection is required for this offering and allows invoice data to sync with Sonovate. We will confirm any additional information or supporting evidence needed during setup.
Is invoice factoring a loan?
The Sonovate offering is structured as the purchase of eligible invoices. You sell the invoices to us, and we collect payment from your clients. Your agreement sets out the sale terms and any circumstances in which you remain responsible.
Can you fund invoices to clients outside the US?
We assess clients outside the US individually. Ask us about the client and country before you assume an invoice will qualify.
